The “6 State” logo system revolutionizes ESPN’s logo management, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency across ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu platforms. After a year-long analysis of global sports team and college logos, I developed a centralized system with league and team logo sheets as the company-wide single source of truth. The six states—On White, On Black, Primary Color 1, Primary Color 2, 1 Color on White, 1 Color on Black—cover all display needs, eliminating errors from the outdated “On Light/On Dark” system. Approved by leagues and teams, these sheets save millions by reducing redundant time and back-and-forth. Integrated into ESPN+ and extended to Disney+ and Hulu, the system automates accessible, brand-compliant logo displays for matchups, meeting WCAG standards. Managed by ESPNIDG, it ensures consistency, supports legacy products, and paves the way for future digital updates, setting a new standard for brand management.
