Introducing the all new Louisiana College Wildcats logo for the 2011 season! The concept behind the logo was very simple; create an identity and brand for the athletic department to distinguish itself from all other programs in the American Southwest Conference.
The logo was slowly introduced as part of the 2011 promotional materials for the fall sports, but in time the logo will be integrated fully as part of the school athletic identity.
NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk and his partner Nicole Bradley created the 8NINE Agency to give athletes the proper guidance on how to lead their careers and establish their outside interests as well. The 8Nine Agency selected Walk Design to help them design and launch a website that allow them to house all of there social media endeavor’s as well as give them a strong presence online to continue growing as a new company. This website is phase one of their online plan and so far the feedback has been terrific.
Walk Design was selected by Jackrabbit Design to help create a logo for Jordan’s Furniture in Boston. The logo is called “The Big Check” and it is for a promotion with the Boston Bruins that if anyone buys furniture from their store throughout the season and the Bruins win the Stanley Cup again, they get there furniture for free! It’s a really exciting promotion and we were honored to be apart of it. Living in the New England and having access to the Bruins it has been great to see how much publicity the campaign and logo has received so far. They even had a complete takeover of the Boston.com homepage to kickstart the campaign! Another great part of the campaign was wrapping a Zamboni (the popular ice resurfacer) with the logo and having it on the ice at the Boston Garden.
It was a really great milestone for Walk design today as Kennedy Catholic High School installed it’s new Field Turf field today with the logo we designed for them permanently fixed to the center of it. It is the first time one of our logos have been permanently attached to a building or a field like this so we are really excited.
I was excited to learn this morning that 7 various logos that I have designed were chosen by a London based blog as an example os “American Themed Logos”
“I do quite a bit of web surfing looking for inspiration for various projects. 2, maybe 3 years ago, I came across a site that blew me away. Walkdesign is the portfolio of sports designer, Matt Walker. Last year I finally bit the bullet and emailed Matt some simple praise he deserved. I received a quick response and that boosted him in my ranks of online coolness. It’s always a great feeling when someone who’s work you admire takes the time out to email you back.
Walk Design is proud to announce the launch of New York Yankees’ centerfielder Curtis Granderson’s new website Grand Kids Foundation (http://grandkidsfoundation.org).
The site will serve as the online home for the 2009 MLBPA Man of the Year and his charitable organization. The Grand Kids Foundation focuses on improving the educational experience for youth nationwide and helping establish baseball opportunities for inner city youths.
We went retro here at Walk Design for a fun character driven logo for Gunner Technology. In their own words, Gunner Technology “Manage Internet operations in web development, SEO and Social Media marketing to maximize ROI.”
Recently our logos have become more Illustration driven, and it has been a breath of fresh air. In this case we were asked for a retro robot concept and we believe we came up with something that hit the request right on the head.

The Jake Peavy Foundation which is a charity created by Chicago White Sox pitcher Jake Peavy chose Walk Design for their new logo identity. The final concept has been accepted and approved. The idea was to do something simple and clean so that it could be appropriate for various charity uses but also have a fun baseball theme. Jake himself was very happy with the final product and so were we. Take a look at it and let us know what you think!
